Cyberpunk Visual Novel

Skyler is a young hot-headed hacker who becomes public enemy number one after she "accidentally" acquires the top secret artificial intelligence program of the ARES corporation. Now forced to team up with the security guard who intercepted an attempt on her life by ARES.Co, they have to work together to protect themselves and prevent their new AI friend "Trinity" from being destroyed.OS:TRi is a found family story about a group of misfit young adults trying to survive in a dystopian Mars colony run by a definitely not evil mega corporation. It's an homage to cheesy young adult dystopian novels, but with more of a sci fi bent to it (and more gay people).OS:TRi is a solodev project made basically entirely by @mayorofcattown, currently being developed in Ren'py for PC, Mac and Linux.This carrd will be updated as more of the game is developed, but for more info and updates on the project beyond what's covered here see the links below!

Setting

The game takes place in a recently established Mars colony broken up into orbital sectors, or 'OS', based on different industry branches, all governed by ARES.CO, the mega corporation in charge of funding the entire venture.While the sectors were initially supposed to function simply as different regions of the same overarching community, over the decades they've started to develop their own distinct cultures.

Logistical Operations and GovernanceOS:LOG was developed as the hub for the majority of the business, planning and technological innovation industry on Mars, and has over time become the de facto government due to their influence over the development of the Colony.Much of this development is spearheaded by ARES.CO, the largest megacorporation on Mars and the source of much of the initial financial backing of the colony, who has based most of their infrastructure in OS:LOG.

Emergency Technology and HealthcareThe sector developed around mechanical engineering and the practical labour force in general, though much of it has become automated with recent developments in AI technology.This sector also governs most of the emergency services, such as healthcare and distaster relief forces, though each sector does have smaller local facilities for minor incidents.

Preservation of Arts and Terrestrial HistoryThe sector designed around the preservation of Earth culture and the arts in general for Mars citizens. It has since become the main centre for most of the entertainment media produced on Mars.It's citizens are often known for their rather extravagant presentation, especially since the advent of new holographic body augmentation technology that allows its users to make large changes to their appearance with minimal effort.

Pronouns: She/Her Skyler came to Mars on a scholarship to a prestigious tech school, only to flunk most of her final exams and get stuck with a job fixing vacuum cleaners for a probably evil mega corporation.She is definitely not bitter about this at all in any way, and definitely did not hack into their systems and steal their new top secret AI program... She is a good employee who totally respects authority!

Ethan Rojas-Valerio

Pronouns: He/HimEthan's a rookie security guard working for ARES.CO, and only got involved in this whole mess after he prevented them from trying to murder Skyler for stealing their top
secret AI program. He's technically the group's bodyguard, but spends most of his time stopping the others from doing anything stupid.Ethan's not exactly been forthcoming to Skyler about his background or why he's even working for ARES.CO in the first place, but its hard to tell
if he's being secretive or if he just doesn't like Skyler that much.

Trinity

Pronouns: "probably he/him?"'Trinity' is an autonomous artificial intelligence program who was supposedly created by ARES.CO, but has been kept suspiciously under wraps until now. He's surprisingly 'normal' for an AI, but has developed an uncanny ability to hijack other ARES.CO robots.Trinity knows next to nothing about his origins or purpose, but the one thing he is absolutely certain of is that he should not be returned to
ARES.CO, as they fully intend to destroy him.
